The Giro Rosa is one of the most important stage races on the women’s cycling calendar. This year’s edition ran eight stages and covered the length of Italy. The Giro is famous for its difficult climbing and eye-candy Italian scenery, and the 2013 Giro lived up to that promise. The race’s first mountaintop finish started on the coast overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean and finished in the trees at altitude. The race also included a time trial through the picture-perfect streets of Cremona.
